**Engine size matters
I bought a Citroen Grand C4 Picasso in January last year. I was lead to believe by the salesman (and it is indicated on the sales documentation) that the engine is 1.8 litres in capacity.

However, I have just found out that Citroen doesn't make a 1.8 version of my car, so it must be a 1.6 or 2.0.

If it's a 2.0-litre engine I'll be happy, but if it's a 1.6 I'll be very disappointed. I would never have bought a large car like the Picasso with such a small engine.

What should I do?

You probably have nothing to worry about providing your car is a petrol model. Citroen did make a 1.8-litre petrol version of the Grand C4 Picasso, so the chances are this is the car you've bought.

The 1.8-litre engine was dropped in 2008 (along with the 2.0-litre petrol) and two 1.6-litre petrol units were introduced one with 120bhp and the other with a turbo and 150bhp.

If your car runs on diesel, then you do have cause for concern. Citroen has only ever offered 1.6- and 2.0-litre diesel engines with the Grand C4 Picasso. If yours is a diesel, we'd recommend checking your vehicle registration certificate (V5C), where you should find the car's correct engine size (given in cubic centimetres).
