Learner drivers get iPhone app

Learner drivers can now practice their theory test on a new application (app) for the Apple iPhone.

The app produced by the British School of Motoring allows iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad users take a mock theory test on their device.

Results of the mock test are displayed in sections, such as accidents, attitude, hazard awareness and motorway rules, allowing the learner to concentrate on their weaker areas.
Students can also revise by reading through hundreds of official questions set by the Driving Standards Agency, the body that oversees the test.

Kristian Welch, chief marketing officer at BSM, said: 'For 100 years now we have helped learners to pass their practical test. The new iPod application means we can use the latest technology to offer exactly the same service for the theory test.'

How much where can I get it?
The app costs 1.70 and can be downloaded from Apple's iTunes store.
