This is a family SUV so check all the seats move and fold as they should. Check the bodywork for scrapes and dents, and the wheels for damage. Make sure all the electrics work as they should.

Is a used Lexus UX reliable?

In our most recent 2025 What Car? Reliability Survey, Lexus finished in the ninth place out of 30 manufacturers featured with an overall score of 94.2%.

The UX didn't feature in our two most recent reliability surveys. However, in 2023, it finished third out of 27 cars in the family SUV class with a great score of 99.3%. It was only beaten by two Lexus NXs that finished in first and second places.

The Lexus UX is smaller than the Lexus NX, but it’s similarly dependable. A mere 3% of owners told us their cars had suffered any problems, and the only area of concern was the sat-nav/infotainment system. All remedial work was carried out for free, but all cars were out of action for more than a week while being fixed.
