UK pricing and specifications have been announced for the new-look 2013 Renault Scenic, with prices starting from 17,955 for the XMOD version.
Three models are available in the face-lifted range the standard Scenic, the Scenic XMOD with crossover styling and plastic cladding around the bumpers, and the seven-seat Grand Scenic.
The Scenic XMOD is the cheapest model in the range, starting from 17,955 in Expression+ trim. This comes with 16-inch alloys, the Grip Xtend traction control system, mud and snow tyres, and Hill Start Assist. Expression+ is available with either 1.6 petrol or 1.5 diesel engines both produce 109bhp.
Dynamique TomTom is the more expensive trim and adds climate control, automatic lights and wipers, and satellite-navigation. The pricier spec means that buyers have three more engines to choose from a turbocharged 1.2-litre petrol unit with either 114bhp or 128bhp, or a 128bhp 1.6-litre diesel.
Prices for the standard Scenic are identical to the equivalent Scenic XMOD version, although it is available only in Dynamique TomTom trim, so the starting price is higher at 19,155.
The Grand Scenic offers identical specifications to the five-seat model, but has a 1200 premium for the extra seats and space, so it starts at 20,355.
The 1.2-litre petrol engines, 1.6-litre diesel and the manual version of the 1.5-litre diesel all come with stop-start technology on the higher trim. Renaults automatic EDC gearbox is available only with the 1.5-litre diesel in all three models.
The most efficient engine is the 1.5-litre diesel with stop-start, with average economy of 68.9mpg and 105g/km CO2 emissions.
Options across the range include an upgraded Bose audio system, 17-inch alloy wheels, electrically folding and heated door mirrors, parking sensors and rear-view camera, and an electric panoramic sunroof.
