It's what's changed under the skin that Land Rover are most proud of, though. Top models now get a new 5.0-litre supercharged engine to replace the old 4.2. It's 29% more powerful, yet it's 7% more fuel efficient and emits 7% less CO2. However, it still produces 348g/km of CO2, while an average of 19mpg will fail to impress your local eco-warrior.
Performance is impressive for such a big SUV, with 0-62mph completed in just 6.2 seconds. It sounds great when accelerating, too, but the whirring of the supercharger can get a little tiresome around town.
