Waiting list woes

Q) I ordered a new Honda Civic 1.4 and have now been told that I'll have to wait a total of two months for delivery. Is this normal? If not, do I have grounds to make a formal complaint?

advertisment

A) When you ordered the car, your Honda dealer should have given you an estimated delivery date. However, two months isn't unusual for a factory order particularly for the 1.4-litre version, which is proving popular under the Government's scrappage scheme.

We'd hold off from complaining unless the date gets pushed back any further. If it does, try Honda customer services on 0845 200 8000 assuming your that dealer can't offer a solution.
