    My car

Had a test drive of this, in anticipation of adopting one as a family car.

Good points: stylish, excellent driver environment, fabulous for front passenger too. Quiet, comfortable and rewarding drive. In every way a car attractive enough to invest in.

But here's the rub: Once the driver's seat was in the right position for me - me being loong legged six foot six and a bit - there was barely enough room for a pair of legs between the back of the driver's seat and the front of the back seat. Therefore no use for me or my family.

A terrible oversight in design, Peugeot. An almost perfect vehicle spoiled by pinching three inches from the cabin, making it useless for tall-driver families.

Perhaps when the hybrid 4x4 arrives I will reconsider as a second car - but it'll need to be awesome to justify buying something so 'almost family' as a second car...

    My car

We bought a 1.6 HDI Premium cmp version here in Spain ( it's got the Electronic Manual 'box) and we made the right choice, for sure. The combination of punchy diesel engine and the "paddle shift/ auto" gearbox is superb. Gearchanges can be made "seamlessly" even though its basically an automatic (clutch). My wife can only drive an automatic and she loves the drive, the auto lights, auto wipers and electric handbrake! The cabin is well trimmed, has quite a few storage areas (especially the cavernous centre box/ armrest and the superbly flexible boot arrangement), it is comfortable, quiet and the car has what you might call boringly easy handling! Whatever you think of the looks it IS distinctive, unlike many mainstream "me too" cars that strive to be fashionable eg., the new Ibiza, Fiesta, Astra etc. etc. Well done Peugeot!

    My car

very surprised when i seen this car - loads of space everywhere except the glovebox - but there is loads of nice touches and gadgets etc..

the 1.6 diesel is great and punchy - and the 6speed box is a nice bonus / and you are in six gear by 50/60 mph.

very good quality seats - nice ride height - and im sure it scares other road users - maybe cos its new and not many about - or it maybe the large grill ??

the interior of the car is to love - well set out and very nice.

also ideal for camping etc with the family - and there is 3 - 12v sockets - and the boot is just marvellous - compartments everywhere and storage space is fantastic even the interior light in the boot is a rechargable torch !!

never been a fan of peugeot - but i do like this model and il expect to see more on the road soon - no wonder it won " what car of the year "
