What should I look for in a used Hyundai Kona hatchback?
When viewing a used car, always follow our used car buying checklist.
Most Hyundai Konas will have been used by families, so make sure the interior is in good condition, with minimal wear and tear. On the outside, check the bodywork for any car park scuffs and dings to the wings, as well as the alloy wheels for any kerb damage. Have a look through the car's service history, too, to ensure it's been properly maintained. The interior electrics should all be working properly.

What are the most common problems with a used Hyundai Kona hatchback?
At the time of writing, the Kona has no recalls listed.

Is a used Hyundai Kona hatchback reliable?
The Kona is too new to have featured in our latest What Car? Reliability Survey, but the hybrid-powered Kia Niro – a close relative of the Kona – finished in fourth place out of 76 cars in the family SUV category. That’s a very strong position, beating cars like the Nissan Qashqai and Volvo XC40.
In the brand rankings, Hyundai finished in 14th place out of the 30 manufacturers. That places it above Ford, Skoda and Volkswagen, but below Kia and Toyota.
