Deal of the Day: Lease a Peugeot 2008 from £220 per month
The Peugeot 2008 is a stylish and well-equipped small SUV, and you could lease one for a keen price with our deals...

There are many small SUV offerings on the market at the moment, but if you’re looking for something that’s extra plush inside, then the Peugeot 2008 is a solid contender.
Indeed, Peugeot is known for its stylish models, and the 2008 is no exception, giving even premium-badged rivals like the Audi Q2 and Lexus LBX a run for their money. So, if that all sounds good to you, then you might be pleased to know that you could put a new 2008 on your driveway for as little as £220 per month.
To do that, you’ll need to opt for a 36-month contract with an annual mileage limit of 5000 miles, and an initial payment of £2638.90. The annual 5000 mile restriction isn’t a huge allowance, so you’ll have to be careful to avoid excess mileage charges.
If you regularly cover more miles, you could opt for a more common 36-month, 10,000-mile agreement with six months initial rental (£1610.17), which will cost £268.36 per month.

The Peugeot 2008 keeps things simple with just petrol and mild hybrid engine options. Our Deal of the Day comes with the mid-range 1.2-litre PureTech 130 petrol engine, which pumps out 129bhp and is noticeably quicker than the entry-level 99bhp option. Unlike that option, the 130 comes with an eight-speed automatic gearbox as standard.
At higher speeds, the 2008 is pleasantly smooth thanks to the soft suspension it comes equipped with. And, thanks to its hushed driving manners, it’s a comfortable cruiser on long motorway journeys – but the same can’t quite be said around town, where it’s slightly more unsettled. Urban drivers might want to take a look at the rival Skoda Kamiq.
The soft set-up in the 2008 also means it isn’t the sportiest to drive, though its light steering makes it a doddle to park and manoeuvre in urban environments.

The driving position in the 2008 isn’t quite as lofty as larger SUVs, but you do sit higher up than in a regular hatchback, giving you a good view of the road ahead. You shouldn’t have any issues getting comfortable, either, as there’s plenty of adjustment in the driver’s seat and steering wheel. However, it is slightly annoying that you have to look over the steering wheel at the driver’s display, rather than through it. That means some drivers might have to jack their seat up higher than usual, or live with a restricted view of the instruments.
Every version of the 2008 comes with a 10in infotainment touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay smartphone mirroring, which is handy because our Deal of the Day doesn’t come with an integrated sat-nav.
Where the 2008 really stands out is with its interior quality. Indeed, it’s furnished with plenty of plush-feeling materials and feels mostly built to last, with only some scratchier plastics on the doors. Only the Lexus LBX feels noticeably classier inside.
Being a small SUV, the 2008 offers ample space for tall passengers up front, but its sloping roofline compromises head space slightly for those in the back. The boot is roomy enough for a few suitcases if you’re going on a short holiday, though some rivals offer more boot space.
Our Deal of the Day comes in entry-level Allure trim, which comes equipped with automatic air-con, rain-sensing wipers, cruise control and privacy glass.
