Deal of the Day: Lease a Skoda Scala from £210 per month

The Skoda Scala is one of our favourite family cars, and you could lease one for a keen price with our deals...

It’s no secret that we’re big fans of the Skoda Scala – in fact, we like it so much that we named it the Best Value Family Car you can buy at our 2025 What Car? Awards.

Indeed, the Scala is packed with kit, roomy inside and, most importantly, it undercuts a lot of rivals by quite a margin. What’s more, that price becomes even more tempting when you take into account how much you can save with our leasing deals; you could put a Scala on your driveway for as little as £210 per month.

To do that, you’ll need to opt for a 60-month contract with an annual mileage limit of 5000 miles, and an initial payment of £2513.40. The annual 5000 mile restriction isn’t a huge allowance, so you’ll have to be careful to avoid excess mileage charges.

If you regularly cover more miles, you could opt for a more common 36-month, 10,000-mile agreement with six months initial rental (£1617.18), which will cost £269.53 per month.

There are three petrol engines available with the Scala, but our Deal of the Day comes with our preferred 1.0-litre TSI 116. It’s in the middle of the range, pumping out 113bhp, with enough shove to easily keep up with traffic. It comes matched to a six-speed manual gearbox.

The Scala benefits from more cushiony suspension than rivals, so you’re well protected from lumps and bumps in the road. It also feels more assured than a Kia Ceed, but the steering is fairly light. If you’re searching for something really agile, it’s worth taking a look at the Seat Leon.

You shouldn’t have any issues getting comfortable inside the Scala, since steering wheel and driver’s seat adjustment as well as lumbar support come as standard. It also benefits from plenty of physical buttons and knobs so controlling your air-con isn’t difficult on the move.

The Scala’s infotainment system is one of the best in its class. It gets a 9.2in touchscreen along with a 10in digital driver’s display (8in on entry-level SE trim), which has super crisp graphics and plenty of configurability. DAB radio, Bluetooth and Android Auto and Apple CarPlay smartphone mirroring come as standard.

While it’s slightly narrower in the front than some rivals, the Scala is roomy enough for even the tallest of passengers in both the front and rear. And with 467 litres of boot space, it can squeeze more luggage in than a Ford Focus or Volkswagen Golf. We managed to fit seven carry-on suitcases below the parcel shelf.

Our Deal of the Day comes kitted out in range-topping Monte Carlo Edition trim, which adds sportier styling, as well as 18in wheels, sports front seats, a heated steering wheel, keyless entry, Matrix LED headlights and a panoramic sunroof. That’s on top of the dual-zone air-conditioning, cruise control, keyless entry and heated seats that come on lower-spec models.
