Standard kit includes an electronic handbrake, climate control and a display screen that includes information such as the most efficient gear to use.

17-inch alloy wheels will be fitted as standard, although buyers can opt for wheels up to 20 inches in diameter.

An eight-speaker CD system is fitted as standard, while Bluetooth connectivity, a DVD drive, a TV tuner and an iPod interface are available as options.

Buyers have a choice of exterior trim colours: black, a colour that contrasts to the bodywork or one that's the same colour as the car.

They will also be able to specify Audi Drive Select, which allows the driver to select comfort, all-round or sports driving modes.

Audi's Parking System adds a rear-view camera, while Lane Assist and Side Assist warn of hazards when changing lanes. Adaptive Cruise Control maintains a constant distance between the Q5 and the car ahead.

Keyless entry, a tyre-pressure-monitoring system, panoramic sunroof, climate control, sun-blinds, electric tailgate, heated and ventilated front seats and swivelling trailer hitch are available as extras.
