Geneva 2012: Toyota FT-Bh concept

The Toyota FT-Bh has made its world debut at the Geneva show.
The hybrid supermini weighs in at just 786kg and is extremely aerodynamic, which helps contribute to Toyotas predicted 49g/km CO2 and 112mpg figures.
The FT-Bh Hybrid system sheds almost 90kg in weight compared with the Toyota Prius unit, combining a two-cylinder, 1.0-litre petrol engine and compact electric motor.
Electricity consumption by interior and exterior lighting is also down by 50% compared to that of conventional cars.
Toyota launched an all-new Yaris last year, and a Yaris Hybrid goes on sale in May, so any production model based on the FT-Bh would appear to be some years away.
