New 140bhp diesel for Alfa Giulietta

The Alfa Romeo Giulietta small family car is now available with a new 140bhp 2.0-litre diesel.

The new option slots in between the existing 105bhp 1.6-litre and 170bhp 2.0-litre, and costs from 20,750 in Lusso trim. The engine is also available in Veloce specification for 22,050.

With up to 258lb ft of torque, the engine is powerful enough to bring the Giulietta from 0-62mph in 9.0 seconds and on to a top speed of 127mph.

Official fuel consumption is 62.8mpg, while emissions of 119g/k mean it is in the lowest 13% company car tax band for diesels.
