Passenger & boot space
How it copes with people and clutter
Every version of the Skoda Enyaq Coupé gets a panoramic glass roof as standard, but you get an incredible amount of headroom in the front, even if you're over six feet tall. There’s also generous leg room and the width of the interior means that you won’t find yourself rubbing shoulders with your front-seat passenger.
There’s also a good number of spaces up front for storing your items, including an area at the base of the dashboard which is wide enough to store two phones side-by-side (it also doubles as wireless charging on higher trim models), two fair-sized cupholders, a space to put your keys and various other items and a vast cubby inside the central armrest.
In terms of boot space, the 570 litres that the Enyaq Coupé offers is only around 25 litres smaller than the regular car. The boot opening is wide and the floor sits flush with the sill, making loading items really easy. The Volvo C40 offers around 100 litres less space in its boot and that can fit five carry-on suitcases under its parcel shelf.
If you need a little extra space or want to load longer items, the rear seatbacks split and can be folded totally flat in a 60/40 configuration. That’s fairly standard for the class but isn’t as versatile as the 40/20/40 arrangement that you’ll find in the Mercedes EQA.
