Had this car since mid December & I love it to bits. It's giving me decent MPG, pretty quick, looks great & is a real head turner as I opted to have it in Frozen White. All in all, 10/10!
Brilliant, traded it for my corsa and found it in a different league. It feels like a bigger car and the build has improved from the mk6 with hardly any road noise in the cabin. 1.6 engine is a dream, puliing well in every gear. Big boot, confortable seats, smooth ride even though its the sporty one, good steering. the only problem i have with this car is the visability and the scuffin of the gear surround when you put it in 5th gear.
I have had this car now for 4 weeks and I have to say that I am very impressed. I had the 06 version of this car previously and I wasnt too sure at first if this new design was an improvement, however I can now say 100% that it is.
The specification of the car is fantastic and the Blue tooth is a feature which I would really advise people to get fitted, if this isnt being thrown in with any offer. I can not fault the build quality of the car, however the other day I did notice how the front windscreen washer hose can get trapped under the bonnet hinge and reduce the flow pressure on the screen. Thankfully, I noticed this and was easy to fix, just making sure that it was back in its original grove.
The drive is fantastic. It may be the biggest Fiesta yet, however it is fairly easy to drive. My personal gripe at the moment is that the MPG is only 41.2 after doing nearly 1000 miles - something I must admit to expecting to be better for a car that boasts such fantastic figures on paper. I have also found that the fuel tank appears to be smaller in this model as a full tank will just go over 300 miles (according to the on-board computer) where as the previous version was up to 380 miles.
Overall though, fantastic car and I would recommend this car to anyone who wants a stylish car at a very reasonable price.
Took the new 1.25 Fiesta for a test-drive (amongst others) and must admit I was not particularly impressed. Our previous car was an 04 1.4 Fiesta Zetec which was great to drive, the new Fiesta has certainly lost some of the driveability that the previous model had. Steering was too light & provided poor feedback (not to the excellent standards of the previous model). Whilst the interior build was definitely an improvement on the older model some of the "chrome effect" plastics looked very cheap & tacky. We also test-drove the new Corsa & whilst I never thought I'd say this, we preferred it to the Ford !! In the end however we weren't too keen on either & happened to test-drive the new Suzuki Swift (1.5 GLX & Sport)...what a difference, by far the best drive of the 3 and very high equipment levels....needless to say we now own a Suzuki Swift Sport, brilliant car. Make sure you consider other offerings over the mainstream before spending your cash !!
