    My car

Had the car for three years and it's just about to go back to the leasing company and I'm truly sorry to see it go. The Fiesta looks good, has lots of standard equipment and has been economical to run and 100% reliable. Major plus points are the fuel economy - averaging about 45mpg around town and closed to 60mpg on a long trip. Refinement is reasonable but at motorway speeds a sixth gear would be useful. Seats are comfortable, the stereo and air-conditioning are excellent and ride and handling are good. It also only costs £20 to tax for a year. On the downside, although the car has pretty good pulling power on an incline and in mid-range, in low gears it's incredibly slow - not the car to choose if you like beating people away from the lights. In very cold weather it also takes a few tries before it starts and again, during cold weather, the heater takes an age to warm up, although this is also something I've experienced on other diesel cars. Servicing costs at my local Ford dealer have been reasonable and the car is also cheap to insure. It has developed an intermittent fault with the cruise control but as I rarely use it this hasn't been a problem. Overall, highly recommended although if I was having another Fiesta, I'd be more likely to have a petrol engine.

    My car

I'm disappointed with my 1.6TDCI. Ford claim it will do 67.2 mpg combined, mine is currently averaging less than 46. I don't drive it hard, and even when I reset the computer and drive like "Miss Daisy" around town and do a constant 60 on the motorway, I only get 49. The car has now done 4500 miles so it should be loosening up.

There are loads of other problems too. The boot has to be slammed shut or the sensor thinks it's still open. The passenger door has to be closed very firmly (the driver's door is ok though!). The stereo often has no sound coming out of it and I have to change the "source" to get it to emit anything. The climate control buttons were defective on delivery (fixed under warranty). The bluetooth sometimes cuts me off mid call. The rear window washer is angled such that it only washes half the screen. There is a sharp edge on the handbrake.

It could've been brilliant, but it is merely average, there are so many niggly things wrong it is annoying and they are purely down to lack of attention.

    My car

Had this car since mid December & I love it to bits. It's giving me decent MPG, pretty quick, looks great & is a real head turner as I opted to have it in Frozen White. All in all, 10/10!
