MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS SALOON REVIEW

My car

I have owned this car for 4 months clocking up 15k miles. Without doubt this car is superb in all areas and the best car I have ever owned. I'm not sure why the professional reviewers claim this car to be conservative. It is stunning to look at, the bodywork is crafted in amazing detail. For such a big car, it handles like it is on rails and has ample power, all the way through the power band. Like most people who own a an E-class or 5 series, I need a car that gets me to my destination safely, in comfort, with a few gadgets thrown in to make my life easier and puts a smile on my face now and again. This car ticks every box. The only downside is that the fuel economy is not quite as good as I was hoping for...so far I've averaged 37mpg. I would have no hesitation recommending this car.

My car

This is our first Mercedes-Benz we have ever owned as we usally have had 4X4s and all i can is this s best car we have ever had! We decided to buy a car this time as we didnt really need the room and we were only getting around 23 MPG so we brought a E320 CDI Sport 3.0L Auto last May and we cant fault it. The Exterior is very good looking in Columbite Black and with Black Tinted Windows and Twin Chrome Exhaust. The Interior is also very nice in cream leather with a High Specification. Sat Nav, Command Computer,Bluetooth which is very reliable and easy to use [which is what you expect from the Germans] The car is fantastic to drive with its V6 Engine very quick and goes up hills no problem and is very Comfortable to. So whats its like on the Diesel? its preety good actually, we dont really go on long journeys just around town mainly so we get a reasonable 30 MPG and on longer journeys we have got around 42 MPG, the four of us went down to the Ilse of Wight in it from where we live in bedfordshire and it was a very smooth journey,feels spacey and its the perfect car if your son is 6ft,Sat Nav took us there no problem to.

As we all know Mercedes Benz and BMW have a fierce rivalry and to be honest we didnt even go and have a look at the BMW 5 Series simply because of there reputation and the people who drive them and that they lack the Quality, Comfort,Saftey and room and as for the Audi A6 there not much good either not very good looking and the inside is Boring like the BMW.

Quite simply the best car I have ever driven, recently traded in my tractor quality Volvo XC90 so the pleasures of power and driving have at last returned . Considered the E250CDI , no comparison this is the car to own and drive with that sweet V6 diesel. My son is 6ft so this is the car if you need proper rear legroom.

After 12 years of driving BMWs, This is my first Mercedes and I love this car!! All the talks of not driving as well as BMWs?! I can't tell the difference. If any one out there thinking should I? I say go for it, it is alot of car for your money
