Deal of the Day: Lease a Hyundai Tucson from £259 per month
The Hyundai Tucson is a highly popular and spacious family SUV, and you could lease one for a keen price with our deals...

If you’re looking to buy a new family SUV, chances are you already have the Hyundai Tucson somewhere on your list. That’s because it often features in the top best-selling cars in the UK, and it counts the hugely popular Kia Sportage and Nissan Qashqai among its key rivals.
Indeed, despite being part of the highly competitive family SUV class, the Tucson really does hold its own against rivals. Not only is it available with a wide range of engines, it also offers that all-important vast space inside and has a well-made interior. So, if that all sounds good to you, then you might be pleased to know that you can put a new Tucson on your driveway from just £259 per month.
To do that, you’ll need to opt for a 24-month contract with an annual mileage limit of 5000 miles, and an initial payment of £3106.92. The annual 5000 mile restriction isn’t a huge allowance, so you’ll have to be careful to avoid excess mileage charges.
If you regularly cover more miles, you could opt for a more common 36-month, 10,000-mile agreement with six months initial rental (£2336.82), which will cost £389.47 per month.

There are a number of engines available in the Tucson, but our Deal of the Day comes with its plug-in hybrid set-up, which combines a 1.6-litre petrol engine with a 13.8kWh battery and electric motor. In total, it pumps out 249bhp and has an official all-electric range of 43 miles. That just edges the Ford Kuga PHEV, but if you want more range, it’s worth looking at the MG HS, which offers an official 75 miles.
The Tucson is super slick to drive in EV mode, even if the six-speed automatic gearbox is a little hesitant to shift down if you need a burst of acceleration.

While the Tucson has a slightly softer suspension set-up than the Kia Sportage, it still deals with potholes and bumps in the road in a controlled manner. However, the Sportage and Volkswagen Tiguan have better handling, with tighter body control, particularly at faster speeds.
SUV fans will appreciate the Tucson’s lofty and supportive driving position, even if you don’t sit quite as high up as in the Volvo XC40. Elsewhere inside, there’s matching 12.3in screens for the driver’s display and infotainment touchscreen, which are easy to read with straightforward menus. Each version of the Tucson also gets plenty of kit, including sat-nav, Bluetooth connectivity, DAB radio, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay smartphone mirroring and wireless smartphone charging.
As you might expect from a family SUV, the Tucson excels when it comes to interior space. There’s plenty of room inside for even the tallest of passengers to get comfortable, and there’s also plenty of storage up front for all your paraphernalia. And, with 558 litres of boot space in the PHEV, there’s enough room for seven carry-on suitcases. The rear seats also fold in a handy 40/20/40 split.
Our Deal of the Day comes in top-spec Ultimate trim, which comes with pretty much all the kit you’d reasonably want, including 19in alloy wheels, matrix LED headlights, adaptive cruise control, rear privacy glass, three-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, heated front and rear seats, a heated leather steering wheel, a head-up display and a powered tailgate.
