Deal of the Day: Lease a Vauxhall Corsa from £160 per month

If you’ve never owned a Vauxhall Corsa, then you’ll definitely have seen plenty on the road. That’s because the Corsa has long been among the best-selling cars in the UK, thanks to its keen pricing and variety of engines that offer universal appeal.
For that reason, it wouldn’t be surprising if a Corsa is already on your shortlist if you’re looking for a new small car. And if that’s the case, then you might be pleased to hear that you can put one on your driveway for as little as £160 per month with our leasing deals.
To do that, you’ll need to opt for a 24-month contract with an annual mileage limit of 5000 miles, and an initial payment of £1908.84. The annual 5000 mile restriction isn’t a huge allowance, so you’ll have to be careful to avoid excess mileage charges.
If you regularly cover more miles, you could opt for a more common 36-month, 10,000-mile agreement with six months initial rental (£1465.38), which will cost £244.23 per month.
There are three different petrol engines available with the Corsa, but our Deal of the Day comes with our favourite option – the entry-level 99bhp 1.2-litre petrol. It’s flexible and competent on the motorway, and we think it should be ideal for most drivers.
It also feels right at home around town, thanks to its light steering. However, that quality can make it feel slightly less assured at high speeds. But speaking of high speeds, you’ll find that the Corsa has nippy acceleration, with the entry-level version completing a 0-62mph sprint in 9.9sec – faster than a Volkswagen Polo 1.0 TSI 95.
Our Deal of the Day comes equipped with the Corsa’s eight-speed automatic gearbox, which can be a bit jerky when you’re pulling away, but it shifts smoothly while driving.
Inside, you’ll find a 7in digital driver’s display alongside a 10in infotainment touchscreen, complete with DAB radio, Bluetooth, USB sockets and Android Auto and Apple CarPlay smartphone mirroring. Our Deal of the Day comes in top-spec Ultimate trim, so you get a sat-nav included as well.
More important functions like air-con are controlled using physical buttons and knobs, so you shouldn’t have any issues operating them on the move. This is a nice touch compared with other rivals where everything is controlled via the infotainment touchscreen, such as in the Peugeot 208.
The Corsa is reasonably spacious for both front and rear passengers, especially given its small car status – but if you’re searching for top-notch practicality, it’s worth taking a look at the Honda Jazz.
