The MG3 supermini has been upgraded, and now comes with a more economical engine and new personalisation options.

The changes for the 2016 model year MG3, which goes on sale in the UK next week, focus around a revised 1.5-litre petrol engine. The engine, which produces 105bhp and 101lb ft of torque, now emits 124g/km of CO2 (compared with 136g/km on the current car) and also includes an engine stop-start system for the first time.

Other changes include a new chrome grille at the front while new paintwork personalisation options are also available.

Pricing for the MG3 has also changed. While the entry-level 3Time model continues to be priced from £8399, the 3Form now costs £9599, the 3Form Sport will be £9899, the 3Style is £10,499 and the range-topping 3Style Lux costs £10,999, a £1000 increase on the current car.
