The entry-level version of the Porsche Macan is now available to order. It is powered by a 233bhp version of the 2.0-litre petrol engine found in the VW Golf GTI, with claimed performance of 0-62mph in 6.9 seconds and a top speed of 138mph. CO2 emissions are 168g/km and official fuel economy is 39.2mpg. Porsche has not yet confirmed a UK price, but we've heard it's £39,300, with the first deliveries expected in spring 2015.
The new Ford Fiesta ST-3 is now on sale. It adds keyless entry, sat-nav, cruise control, automatic lights and wipers and climate control to our favourite ST-2 trim. Power-folding door mirrors and an automatically dimming rear view mirror are also included, and the upgrade costs £1000 - it’s priced at £19,250.
The V60 plug-in hybrid model is now available in R-Design specification. This trim add a different front bumper with a larger air intakes, a new rear diffuser and 18-inch five-spoke alloy wheels. Inside, there are leather sports seats, alloy pedals and a darker roof headlining. For private buyers, it costs £47,675 after the Government’s electric car grant. The P11D tax value for company car users is £51,620.
