The Suzuki SX4 is one of four cars to have scored a maximum five stars on the latest round of Euro NCAP crash test results.
The Peugeot 2008, the Mercedes CLA and the Jeep Cherokee joined the SX4 in the latest round of results, with all four models scoring the maximum five stars overall.
However, the SX4's results in the individual categories are of particular note, with the SUV scoring 92% for adult protection, 80% for child occupant protection, 81% in the safety assist category and 72% in the pedestrian section. Euro NCAP awarded the SX4 maximum points for its protection of the 18-month-old infant crash-test dummy.
The 2008 also scored well in the individual sections, picking up 88% in the adult section 77% for child protection, 72% for pedestrian protection and 70% in the safety assist category.
The next round of crash test results will be the first assessment of crash avoidance systems, such as emergency braking and collision warning systems.
