The Vauxhall Mokka SUV - due in late 2012 has been revealed, in the form of a new image of the new Buick Encore.
Vauxhall hasn't officially confirmed the Mokka name, but widespread internet speculation suggests it is the most likely name for the new compact SUV.
The two models are closely related, with minor cosmetic changes and different engines likely to be the major differences. A Chevrolet version, which will be closer in character to the Vauxhall than the Buick, is also due during 2012, while the European will be called Opel Mokka.
Buick has released teaser shots of parts of the Encore at a rate of one per week. Although the final section wont be revealed until the Encore makes its debut at the Detroit motor show next week, it gives a strong idea of how the new model and its Vauxhall counterpart - will look.
Although the Vauxhall version will have different lights, bumpers and grilles, the overall shape as seen in spy shots of the car - is expected to be identical to the Buicks.
Vauxhall sources have told us that the car has been tested on UK roads and that both front- and four-wheel-drive versions will be available.
More information on the Mokka is likely to be released soon, prior to a public unveiling at the Geneva motor show in March. The Mokka is due to go on sale in November and wed expect prices to start at around 14,000.
