    My car

Bought this very early 10 reg example second hand in February 2011. My first French car, replacing a much loved Skoda Octavia estate 2.0 petrol. Very spacious and practical, plenty of room for my 8 and 6 year olds in the 3rd row - but not much boot space behind them in 7 seat mode. Boot is very big with these seats folded. Not a quick car by any means but reasonable pull above 1600 rpm. Absolutely nothing below that. Nice direct steering, but does understeer if pushed round a corner. Equipment is adequate, I had to have rear parking sensors retrofitted - I think they are now standard on the Sport model. Good cruise control, comfortable seats. Electronic hand brake is good. Difficult to access the aircon controls past the gear lever. Long term fuel economy is a little disappointing at 42mpg over 3000 miles of mostly urban driving. Nearer 50 on longer journeys. Overall a good family workhorse that's pleasant enough to drive and good value for money bought nearly new. I'd rather have a Skoda version of the Touran though.

    My car

Having recently extended my family I decided it was time to “grow up” and buy a MPV! Having done some very extensive homework I settled on the 5008 as it seemed large enough for everyone but small enough to take into town and park! So why the not so great review then?? This was based on the, what can only be described as, dreadful sat nav system. Basically for those people who have (wisely) steered clear of this I will try and explain my frustration.. It works on a predictive postcode search rather than the full post code, so you can only input the first part of the postcode along with the first digit (ie DT3 6) You then have to enter a road name in order to get directions to where you wish to go. Unfortunately I discovered, after moving, that my house is not on a named road so after inputting part of the postcode, but not having a road name to put in, the area which it took me to was vast! I have driven several cars with sat nav (Nissan, Range Rover and Volvo) and yet in all of them you are able to input the full postcode and find clearly where you are going. If I had realised how poor this system was I would never have ordered it as an optional extra, instead I would have bought a sat nav system off the shelf in the high street and spent the considerable difference on something worthwhile!! Prospective Peugeot customers beware – before you order an expensive factory fitted sat nav, check out the capabilities of it, then do yourself a favour and DON'T BUY IT!!!

    My car

This is the first time I buy a Peugeot. After a week of driving, so far the car has been running very well. Not much engine noise you can hear even at high speed. The seats are very comfortable, important when driving long distance. But the experience that I got from my dealer at Harrogate was a disappointing one. First of all, I should have received the car in last December but I was told it was taken away by another dealer. At that time I asked for the front parking sensors to be fitted as an option. So they had to reorder it for me. This time I asked for the satnav to be fitted on top of the original order. Guess what, I got my satnav but no front parking sensors! The sales told me I had already received the car and so far they refuse to do anything. They even tried to ask me to pay for VAT increase but I refused. My opinion is be careful of the dealer you choose when buying a Peugeot.

    My car

Bought this car recently - like it very much overall. But has anyone tried to use the spare wheel and jack from under the car. What loony designed it - completely useless - very very difficult to get at jack and replace I e.mailed Peugeot to ask if they would pay my dry cleaning bill and run me a bath if ever I had to change the wheel. They said No Rest of the car excellent
