Audi Q7 reviewed on video
Has Audi created the perfect luxury SUV with its Q7? Watch our video review to find out...
The Audi Q7 is a true luxury SUV. Alongside rivals like the BMW X5, Volvo XC90 and even the Range Rover Sport, the Q7 has proven itself to be comfortable and practical family transport – albeit for a hefty price tag.
The Q7 has only been around since 2006, but with this second-generation version, Audi has upped its game, creating a car which is relaxing to drive, wonderfully refined and has a beautifully built interior that's got plenty of convenience and safety technology.
As you'd expect, there's a vast range of engine options to choose from, including a plug-in hybrid model badged as the e-tron, but our favourite is the 3.0-litre diesel 272, which offers plenty of power and yet is still smooth and refined. There's no need to look past SE specification, either, because this gets you everything you're going to want, including satellite navigation, dual-zone climate control, Bluetooth and xenon headlights.
So, should the Audi Q7 be at the top of your large SUV shortlist, and what's it like for growing families to live with? Darren Moss finds out.
