Accessibility & Motability

Usability for people with disability or their carers

Motability - Access

The front doors of the Toyota Aygo open to a maximum of 62 degrees, which is not quite as wide as the 71 degrees offered by the Smart EQ Forfour and Volkswagen Up. On the plus side, the door sill is a relatively low 370mm from the road.

The driver’s seat places you 562mm to 592mm from the road, depending on how you adjust the seat. That's on the low side for a small car; if you want a high seating position, consider the Hyundai i10 (631mm maximum) or Volkswagen Up (609mm maximum).
