The Qashqai's interior dimensions haven't changed, so there's a generous amount of space for two adults in the front, while another two behind will enjoy good head and leg room. Indeed, three adults sitting side by side across the rear bench won't grumble too much on a long journey.
The practical and competitive boot space and standard 60/40 split-folding rear seats also remain. And as before, all Qashqais apart from entry-level Visia models get a false boot floor that allows you to divide up the space and keep fragile items out of harm’s way.

Model for model, the Qashqai is more expensive than it was before, with prices rising by around £700. That means it's pricier than equivalent versions of the Seat Ateca and Peugeot 3008.
The petrol engines in those cars are more efficient than their equivalents in the Qashqai, too, but Nissan's diesel engines continue to set the standard, with the 1.5-litre diesel being particularly impressive, averaging up to 74.3mpg in official tests.
