The Mercedes E-Class All Terrain is a bit of an oddball. Like the Audi A6 Allroad and the Volvo V90 Cross Country, the E-Class All Terrain is a traditional estate car that’s been sprinkled with an SUV-flavoured garnish.
While it does sit a little higher than a regular E-Class Estate, you’ll have to do without the commanding driving position that SUV drivers love so much. What you do get is off-roader inspired styling flourishes, four-wheel drive and adjustable height air suspension. Although a 2.0-litre diesel will be available in Europe, we only get the 3.0-litre V6 diesel that is available in the E 350 d.
Read on for our thoughts on how the E-Class All Terrain drives, what the interior’s like and how practical it is.
