Every day, we take a look at a few of the cars that we are living with. Today, it's the turn of the Hyundai i10, Nissan Qashqai and Mazda 3.

Hyundai i10

I've recently had trouble getting hold of the keys to the i10, because it's the default choice for anyone who's driving into town.

That’s entirely unsurprising – navigating urban streets is a doddle thanks to the i10’s small size and the clear view from the driver's seat. What’s more, the nippy 1.2-litre petrol engine has no trouble keeping up with traffic and the gearchange is smooth.

At less than 3.7m long, the i10 squeezes into parking spaces that other cars can't get into. However, for me, the best part is not being fazed by width restrictions. There are a couple of these on my commute and the little Hyundai breezes through with plenty of room to spare.
