The VW ID 3 is a very good electric car. It's decent to drive, comfortable and with plenty of versions available. The MG4 is even better value against entry-level trims while the Cupra Born is a bit better to drive and has a slightly better interior for a similar price. If you buy an ID 3 we'd recommend going for the Pure Match model, which has plenty of kit and a useful battery range – and avoid the GTX.
The engine
The Pro and the Pro S both have a 201bhp electric motor that sends its power to the rear wheels, although the former model is faster due to its smaller, lighter battery. The downside of this is that you get a shorter range: 269 miles officially versus 344 miles.
