Two new Toyota Yaris special-edition models have been announced the Yaris Edition and Yaris Trend.

Both come with a range of trim upgrades, including 'blacked-out' rear pillars, and are available in three- or five-door forms. Colours are Tyrol Silver or Cirrus White.

The Yaris Edition is based on entry-level T2 trim and comes with a 1.0-litre VVT-I petrol engine and a five-speed manual gearbox as standard.

Extra kit includes 15-inch alloy wheels, body-coloured door mirrors and handles, front foglamps, rear privacy glass, chrome boot trim and a leather-trimmed gearknob. Air-conditioning is available as an option.

Prices for Edition models start at 11,695; a 1060 premium over T2 models.

Special alloy wheels and darkened rear windows are standard.

The Yaris Trend special edition is based on sporty SR trim and has a 1.3 VVT-i petrol engine. A six-speed manual is standard; the five-door version is available with a CVT automatic gearbox as an option.

In addition to black rear pillars it gets special 16-inch alloy wheels and chrome tailpipe trim, for a 210 premium over SR models.
