You could be forgiven for thinking that spending so little on an MPV would bring big compromises, but the Jogger is a well-thought-out people mover with genuine seven-seat usability, decent driving dynamics and plenty of equipment. The recently introduced hybrid represents truly fantastic for money.

Mid-spec Expression adds roof rails, climate control, automatic windscreen wipers, blind-spot monitoring, an 8.0in touchscreen infotainment system with Apple Carplay and Android Auto, front parking sensors and a rear-view camera.

With a 0-62mph time of 10.1 seconds the TCe 140 Hybrid is not exactly what you’d call quick, but it’s noticeably punchier than the TCe 110 and there’s a surprising amount of poke off the line even when it’s running in fully electric mode. That said, the real appeal of the TCe lies with its impressive efficiency – around town 60mpg is easily achievable.
