Citroen's updated C4 is now available to order, priced from £14,645 and with UK deliveries scheduled for April.
What is it?
The facelifted Citroen C4, which gets LED headlights and chrome detailing on the front and rear bumpers. There are also new 17in alloy wheels.
Two new colours have been introduced (Platinum Grey and Spirit Grey), which means there are now nine finishes to choose from.
What engines does it come with?
Buyers now have a choice of new Euro6-compliant engines - two PureTech three-cylinder turbocharged petrols and three BlueHDi turbocharged diesels.
The 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol PureTech 110 unit, in six-speed manual form, develops 108bhp at 5500rpm and 151lb ft of torque at 1500rpm. Combined fuel economy is said to be 60.1mpg while emitting 110g/km of CO2.
The PureTech 130 engine can be mated to either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic, developing 130bhp and 169lb ft of torque.
In BlueHDi 100 and 120 form the 1.6-litre turbocharged diesel engine develops 98bhp and 118bhp, with torque of 187lb ft and 221lb ft respectively.
Citroen claims a combined fuel economy figure of 85.6mpg, with CO2 emissions of 86g/km for the BlueHDi 100 with stop-start engine technology.
The BlueHDi 120 engine with stop-start delivers a claimed 74.3mpg and CO2 emissions of 98g/km.
The 2.0-litre BlueHDi 150 turbocharged diesel produces 147bhp and 272lb ft. It also returns 74.3mpg and emits 98g/km.
What equipment does it come with?
Three new trim levels are available: Touch, Feel and Flair. The entry-level Touch gets 16in steel wheels, body-coloured bumpers, air conditioning and cruise control.
Mid-range Feel adds 17in alloys, chrome trim and a DAB radio with Bluetooth connectivity. Top-spec Flair adds rear parking sensors, a 7.0in touchscreen, front fog lights and tinted rear windows.
The 7.0in touchscreen combines sat-nav, media, hands-free Bluetooth and vehicle setting functions.
How much will it cost?
The updated Citroen C4 kicks off at £14,645 for the petrol Touch PureTech 110. Mid-range Feel starts from £16,645 for the petrol and £17,345 for the BlueHDi 100 diesel without stop-start.
Top-of-the-range Flair costs from £17,645 for the PureTech 110 petrol and tops out at £20,045 for the 2.0-litre BlueHDi 150 diesel.
Stop-start engine technology is a £200 premium on all models. The six-speed automatic is available only on PureTech 130 petrol and BlueHDi 120 diesel models, for a £1100 premium.
Can I get a discount?
If the outgoing C4 is anything to go by, it is possible to haggle with your Citroen dealer and obtain a sizeable discount - anything up to £3000 depending on the model.
