However, a £1000 premium over the 2.0-litre TDI diesel buys those that are concerned where emissions legislation may leave diesels in a few year’s time a very worthy petrol alternative. This 2.0-litre TFSI 252 petrol is clearly quicker than the diesel, smoother and quieter, and importantly, looks to offer sensible running costs, too.
