The Skoda Elroq vRS is good to drive, well-equipped and a great all-rounder, but those strengths also apply to much cheaper versions of the Elroq. In short, we don't don't think the vRS version is worth the price premium over the brilliant 85 Edition.
The trim
Edition trim is our favourite because it has all of the luxuries that you get with SE L, plus adaptive cruise control, keyless entry and wireless phone-charging with cooling.
The engine
Stepping up from the 50 model to the 60 hikes power from 168bhp to 201bhp. That's enough to lop a second of the 0-62mph time (bringing it down to 8.0 seconds) and to make the Elroq feel noticeably more lively when you put your foot down. Yet thanks to a slightly bigger (59kWh) battery, the official range is boosted to a more useful 260 miles.
