The Volvo EX40 is practical and smart inside, plus it’s pretty refined on the move. We’d go for the Single Motor Extended Range version because for a reasonable premium you get a more competitive range. We’d suggest considering the jump from Core to Plus trim, but it’s not a must in our view.
