Buying a new car can be stressful, especially for beginner drivers who are most commonly looking for a small car that needs to be cheap to buy and run, and able to withstand the wear and tear of daily use. These drivers are more prone to accidents and damage than those with more experience, so robustness is key.

It’s a good thing then, that we have all the answers on which are the most – and least – reliable models from our latest What Car? Reliability Survey, conducted in association with MotorEasy.
