Passenger & boot space

How it copes with people and clutter

Front space

There’s more than enough space in the front of the Cupra Born. Even if you’re over six feet tall, you should have enough head and leg room.

There’s pretty good storage space available too. A large chunk of that is in the centre console, which has various cubbies and the ubiquitous cup-holders. The glovebox is a decent size, as are the door bins.

Seat folding and flexibility

There’s not a huge amount to report here. You get 60/40 split rear seats as standard, which are not as useful as 40/20/40 seats.

You don’t have the option of sliding or reclining rear seats, which you can get in SUVs of an equivalent price. You also can’t get a ski hatch, as per high-end versions of the ID.3.
