For
Along with its masses of interior space, the Jazz offers excellent reliability and practicality.
The 'magic' rear seats are a particularly handy feature; you can put the backrests down or have the cushions come up, cinema style.
The dashboard layout is easy to operate, thanks to the chunky buttons.
Our favourite model is the 1.4 i-VTEC ES Plus and this deal knocks more than £2000 off a new version.
It costs £110 to tax for the year and the 1.4-litre petrol engine offers a claimed fuel economy of 50.4mpg.
Against
The Honda is let down by its refinement; there's a lot of road noise on the motorway.
Its ride comfort is also disappointing, despite being able to accommodate tall drivers. It’s firm around town and bouncy on faster roads.
Should I add any options?
ES Plus trim was launched in 2013 and comes with 16-inch alloys, cruise control, privacy glass and a driver’s front armrest as well as a leather-covered steering wheel and gearknob.
