Our Cars: Ford Fiesta, Citroen Grand C4 Picasso and Honda Civic Tourer
* Latest updates on the What Car Fleet * Ford Fiesta ST is coming to the end of its stay * Honda Civic Tourer and the Citroen Grand C4 Picasso are on family duty...
More updates from the What Car? long-term fleet, and this time it is the Ford Fiesta ST, the Honda Civic Tourer and the hard-working Citroen Grand C4 Picasso.
What Car?'s track day enthusiast driver and social media specialist Tom Langan has sampled the delights of our Ford Fiesta ST and decided that the much-loved hot hatch is maybe a little too sporty for his tastes. Fierce brakes, very quick steering and a fidgety low speed ride mean this Ford is too focused for our Tom.
Our resident supermum Alex Newby is worried that the Honda Civic Tourer needs a stern talking to, because the door handles aren’t behaving. She’s keeping a close eye on the problem and will be sending the car to the dealer without any dinner if it doesn’t start behaving soon.
No such behavioural issues for John Bradshaw and his family-friendly Citroen. He’s just taken the Grand C4 Picasso to a music festival for four nights, packed to the roof with camping stuff, coolboxes, and five people. How did it cope with such a heavy load? John was impressed over the 300-mile round-trip, but a persistent noise was traced to the tyre-pressure monitoring system rather than a truculent teenager, so it sounds like there may be trouble ahead.
