Most and least reliable cars in every class
Our annual Reliability Survey has revealed the most dependable cars, based on your experiences. Here we name the best and worst performers in every class...
Cars should bring freedom and pleasure, but that won't be the case if you buy one that develops a string of faults. Fortunately, the annual What Car? Reliability Survey can help you choose a model that will be dependable as well as desirable.
We asked more than 16,000 people to tell us if their car had suffered any problems over the previous year, and if so, in which areas. Plus, we asked them how long their car was off the road and how much they were charged for any repairs.
All of this data helped us give each model its own reliability rating. And here we reveal the best and worst performers – aged up to five years old – in every class.
